Where Should I Stay When I Go To Pattaya?
“I know where I want to stay the next time I’m in Pattaya” is a statement that is anything but uncommon when it comes to first time visitors to paradise city — Pattaya. The reason for this is all to clear considering the vibrancy of the city — from its unmatched nightlife and all that it encompasses, to the endless miles of fantastic beaches complete with every sporting and leisure activity you can imagine. For those of you contemplating your first trip to Thailand and Pattaya in particular, you are in for an experience like none other. If your ventures so far in the line of holidays have been to the sun resorts of Europe or a couple of weeks in Florida or the Carribean, then expect something totally different in the Land of Smiles. Almost without exception first-timers here are instantly hooked on the place and are planning their return trip even before they head back home. While traditionally Pattaya was very much a “singles” destination — predominately male — recent years have seen big changes with many top hotels establishing themselves here, attractions and parks that appeal to all ages, numerous world-class golf courses, state-of-the-art shopping centres and with the combination of all the aforementioned a huge increase in the number of families choosing to holiday in Pattaya. Because it caters for such a diverse range of holiday activities and a nightlife that is uniquely Pattaya, a little research before booking your accommodation would be very beneficial to you once you’ve arrived for your week or two, whether it be for mad partying and all that goes with it or lazy days by the poolside or beach with a new dining exerperience every night in any of the fine restaurants. You can have it all here and that is why I would recommend you check it out before you travel. If you want to be close to the endless party nights, be it the famous Walking Street or Soi 6, 7 or 8, then you should consider booking into any of the numerous hotels and apartments in the Central Pattaya area, with something available to suit every budget. If on the other hand you like a more relaxed vacation, and at the same time want to be only a short taxi ride to the explosive nightlife, you might want to consider staying in the Jomtien area close to the beach or in Naklua at the north end of Pattaya. Whatever area of Pattaya you decide to stay I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Enjoy the experience of a holiday in paradise city! 29-Jan-10
