Pattaya Love Story

A short story, I went to Thailand the first time not knowing anything. I was ripped off by the taxi driver (7000 baht) and ripped off by hotel (pre-booking).

Then I met my first Thai bar girl Dang (name changed) I stayed with her for four days then decided it was a big world out there. She treated me really well and I had a wonderfull time. I paid her the going rate and said I was going. She had a screaming and shouting fit but I paid no attention and thought it was all really a show.

I went to another bar with my bag in hand. There I met an english man. I had a few beers with him, unknown to me he had put something in my drink, well I ended up down Jomtien beach for two days completely out of my mind.

I'm surprised that I never got picked up by the police, then a baht bus driver took me to thehospital. I was still halucinating and was convinced I was going to the Bangkok Hilton hotel.

I was discharged the next day after having all sorts of fluids pumped into me, the Embassy paid the fee, I had on me the total sum of 100 baht and the clothes I stood in.

Needless to say all my belongings had gone passport, money, cards, tickets, everything. All I had was what I stood in.

After going from hotel to hotel to cool down and drink water from the toilets. I decided to go and see Dang, it was afternoon at that time.

I went to her bar. Luckily for me, she was there. Immediately when she saw me, she could tell the state that I was in. She sat me down and gave me a drink. Then She went and got the bar owner. I told him my story. He took me to the police station to report it, nothing ever came of it.

Anyway, Dang took me to a hotel. She paid for three nights and put me to bed. She went shopping for clean clothes for me. I woke up hours later to find her sitting on the bed looking at me. She had bought me clothes, toiletries, food and even two Singha beers.

She had also been back to the bar to barfine herself. She then stayed with me and paid for everything. I needed much to the disgust some of the other girls, who said that she should have just left me. A week later I had managed to get some money through western union.

I purchased a ticket and paid Dang back what I owed her, plus a bit more for helping me. There was enough for her to go back home and stay till I returned, which would be as soon as possible.

She thought that I would never come back but I did. I rented a condo for a year and had her checked out by a well known agency. It all turned out to be true what she had told me. I went on to buy a lovely villa unknown to her then took her to see it.

She was over the moon, because when she worked at the bar, she had even slept on the pool table before. We have been together now for some time and everyday gets better there have been no huge demands for money.

I bought her family beds, a TV and fridge. I also send them 4000 baht a month which is what she was sending them, when she worked. I now live in Thailand with Dang.

She treats the house like a palace everywhere is spotless even the gardens. People would stop to admire the house. She has made many friends in the village mostly ex-bar girls themselves, and we have a great crowd of Farangs/Thais who are always popping in to see one another.

I could not wish for a better partner. We really love each other. There is not a huge age gap and I'm not a fat Farang, which probably helps a lot.

So yes, there are many out there who will rip you off and there are some that won't. If you are one of the lucky ones. Well, you will know now what life is all about.
