I have to agree with the author on all points but myth #6 - I have noticed some jealousy from your basic working stiffs (Working in McDonalds, Pizza Hut, etc...) towards the bar girls I bring into these establishments. Right or wrong the working stiffs perceive that the bar girls are making a lot of money. The bargirls are generally making more money than their working stiff counterparts - 6000 Baht per month base salary then as many boyfriends as they can handle. At 1000 to 2000 Baht per night that adds up pretty quickly. There are basically two rules to remember when in Pattaya - 1. Bar girls are working for $$$. 2. The ladies of Pattaya that I have met on 2 visits are Angels from Buddah. If you are stupid or do not respect them and are treated badly it is your own fault. I was married for 30 years before my wife died and a visit to Pattaya was heaven. While we all work for money wherever there is an opportunity the ladies I have met only go with men that they feel comfortable with. However I have seen many western men treating them badly. SECRETS HOTEL BAR I m Model Shabana and visited this bar on my last trip to Pattaya last week and I must tell you this is one of the best best bars I have ever visited in Pattaya on my 22 trips there. The girls are so nice, hassle free, very polite, very reasonable prices and the atmosphere lets you stay there for hours and hours.
