Sexual Assault

Apparently, Thailand is well known for sex trade. I feel an increasing resentment for foreign men who behave oddly towards every Thai Woman they come across in the country.

Most men they try to drool over every women they can. It is completely an off putting behavior. Without future ado, I would like to tell all foreign men who visit Thailand to bear in mind that not every Woman in this country is into sex trade.

Pattaya is not only a tourist place. Yet, is also a place where we Thai people come along with family and friends for a long weekend holiday to enjoy ourselves. Frequently, I have been to walking street with my friends for a nice stroll. But, what happened that night was quite depressing for us.

We entered one of the pubs on walking street. There were a mob of people inside enjoying themselves and swaying with the music. We strolled over to one of the tables and ordered drinks. After, a kick from the drinks we headed off to the dancing floor.

Suddenly, a weedy looking foreign man started dancing with us he seemed to have taken too many drinks and looked a little out of his mind. We moved away from him but, he kept coming closer to us. Aggressively, we left the dance floor and headed back to our table weary and exhausted.

Then, the same weedy looking man emerged with two more guys on our table. At first I was quite perplexed of why they were there. He came forward and spoke in a slurred speech that he and his friends would want to know if we were interested to go spend a night at the hotel with them for 2000 baht.

We were flabbergasted and I fumed and snapped back “we are not hookers”. With a distress feeling we left the pub.

A lot of people are approached by a complete stranger in shopping malls in Pattaya bluntly asking them if they are interested to spend a night with them and how much they charged.

I see banners everywhere saying that save “sex slaves’’. How can it be stopped, when every man who visits Thailand looks at all the woman with those leaching eyes.

I hope you don t mind me using your same words: Many Thai hookers are quite blunt when they offer their services, and one time a katoei was aggressive when proposing to me. So the reverse is also true. Some farangs are approached by a complete stranger (a Thai woman) in shopping malls in Pattaya bluntly asking them if they are interested to spend a night with them and how much they charged. The question is: How can it be stopped, when every Thai woman in the sex trade looks at all the farangs who visit Thailand with those leaching eyes...hoping to take as much money from the farang as she can. all thai women get a bad name because of the great amount of thai women that are prostitutes. most tourism in the country is oriented towards the prostitution market in one way or the other. why don t all those women stay at home or look for a better job? why do the families of the girls accept the degradation of their daughters, mothers or wives being fu***d evrey day by farangs and asians alike of any age and shape? There is greed, yes, but there is also a prevalent lack of shame. Jenny - you are a complete fool. If you don t want to be confused for a prostitute, don t hang out in a whore bar/disco/whatever. One has to wonder why you were in partying in such a place. If the guy had been handsome and polite and hadn t talked about cash up-front I m guessing you d have been leaving the place with him - and then expect some taxi money in the morning. If you re a young thai female in a bar in Pattaya - you re a whore. END OF STORY. It seems to me that the only real problem you had was that the guy didn t meet your standards and was rather rude/blunt - so just tell him to sod off, but don t pretend you weren t there looking to hook up with a foreigner to make a bit of extra pocket money. Either that or you re a complete and utter moron. Whilst I agree there is no need to be rude or insulting to the girls working in pattaya, it s hard to respect a woman who has chosen to sell her body rather than getting a job - and there are PLENTY of jobs available for anyone that actually wants to work for a living. The trouble is the girls and their families are lazy and greedy, looking for an easy way to make a fast buck. I m not faulting them, I m just saying that people like that hardly warrant much in the way of respect - but they are still human beings, so there s no need to be rude or offensive - be nice, play fair and never forget where you are and what you re really doing - at goes for farang AND thai-girls. I go to pattaya every 3 months ,for a month at a time ,and my answer to you farrangs who think that every thai girl is a slag or whore is, what do you think thay are thinking of you when you treat them as such, and any way men who treats woman as such are no better in there own country the word sexual moron comes to mind ,all the girls i have met i have found to be all to nice untill some farrng with the i,q of a peanut talks to them as if they have been waiting all there life for him to visit thailand to get them in bed ,remember for the majority of girls its there only source of income like it or not ,remember its nice to be nice Added by: PATRICK    Report abuse

1. See Asian customers, they understand that we like to gamble, and they understand that we have lots of unemployed brothers and sisters who need to eat. Therefore, they will pay a lot better then the Farangs. 2. Remember, when you go out with a Farang, you must always ask for taxi money and give him the excuse that taxi drivers cannot give change on big notes. Don’t let him see the small change in your possession or he may ask you to cover the ride, and if he isn’t forthcoming, see rule 4. 3. If you are no longer making money in Bangkok, move down to Phuket where you will be able to start making money again. Give Phuket a few years, then move on to Pattaya, Even if you are approaching 50, it is no problem as the walking ATM machines in Pattaya, seem to be so blind, they will not notice. Lets face it, Pattaya is foremost a magnet for freaks looking for cheap boom boom! After all, it s proly the biggest brothel area in the world. Therefore, if you re a woman (esp. Asian) hanging out there in the clubs, bars, discos, walking St., etc...what the hell do you expect? I ve been living in Thailand for many years, and unfortunately, I can tell you that without a doubt MOST Thais are after your money and could care less about you! Don t let the smiles fool you! Too many times I ve seen farang/foreigners misinterpret matters by holding onto their own cultural norms only to get upset later. The funny thing about this is that, often times, these same folks completely lose their common sense and believe that their young, hot Thai girlfriends love them - smirk. Having lived in South East Asia for over 5 years, some of the comments above are mixed and mainly inaccurate. Let s get real - wherever you go, you can make of it what you will. The Thai people are some of [if not] the nicest people you will ever meet. I am a straight, single male who loves the Thai [female] ladies and, depending on where you go, they are either money grabbing or just very nice girls - this is World-wide, come on! All the Thai people that I have had the pleasure to meet have been wonderful human beings. In Patong one time I was walking near the big food Markets way back from the beach and a guy gave me a lift on his motor bike, as it was a really hot day and I was a bit lost. I offered him some money and he refused..I dislike Farang slobs treating Thai ladies without any respect..it doesn t matter if she is a bar girl, she is just trying to make ends meet.. She deserves the same respect as everyone else.. Treat the girls with respect and have a good time and be happy..and be generous and Please guys use a friging condom.
